Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Park is a 29-acre public park with a unique collection of habitats, walking trails, and active recreation spaces.
For many years, community members have expressed a desire for the park to better represent its namesake through inspirational art, design, and improved amenities.

The goal of the MLK Park Project is to foster a ‘beloved community’ by:

-
Creating a welcoming place for all people that ignites positive social change
-
Develop new amenities and improve existing community gathering spaces to align with today’s community needs
-
Preserve and protect the park’s natural features that make it a special and unique place to visit.
